Where they are located/found: Their territory extends from west central Canada and the Hudson Bay area east to New Brunswick, down to South Carolina and west to Kansas. Yellow perch are found mainly in lakes, brackish water, slow moving rivers and streams as well as ponds. The commonly reside in shallow waters, but sometimes go as deep as 15 meters.
